Accurate weather forecasting
Currently, most retailers, suppliers and the rest of the supply chain use general weather forecasts provided by a number of weather forecasting companies. These companies package their forecasts to suit the needs of their clients, which is acceptable as long as their clients fully understand what they require.

These general weather forecasts comprise of about 20 parameters such as wind speed and direction, pressure, temperature, visibility, precipitation, cloud cover etc plus time and space. This works out in hundreds if not thousands of permutations. The users of these forecasts then have to interpret these permutations. Research shows that if you give the same simple weather forecast to two people they will provide slightly different interpretations. Some companies disseminated these forecasts to more than a hundred people within their organisations. This method is not only confusing but largely inefficient.

The strength of the NAXIS System, at the initial analysis stage, provides a Key Weather Driver (KWD). This is the weather parameter (or combination) which is the strongest driver of consumer decision-making. The KWD is used to produce a Specific Numerical Weather Forecast which is used to drive the demand model. The benefit of this method provides more accuracy because it is focused on specific minimal weather parameters (more precise weather forecasting) and is not open to interpretation because it is an algorithm which drives the numerical demand model.

Test we have conducted have shown 96.5% accuracy over a series of 10 day forecasts.
