John Watkins - Consultant, Weatherology
John
has spent the past 40 years both working and consulting on all aspects of
the supply chain. He has had full management responsibility for this in Food,
Small Electrical, Pharmaceutical, Aerospace, Entertainment, and Light Engineering
industry. He was personally involved in successfully developing forecasting
methods to predict consumer sales of chart CD albums and singles. This had
a dramatic and positive impact on reducing obsolescence.
The past 8 years have involved consulting with clients on improving the accuracy, teamwork, and consistency of their forecasting and planning processes. One of his self-written 2 day courses has been presented world-wide in a number of major multinational manufacturers to the food retail industry. There has also been some very productive work with a major UK blue chip retailer, which is being used to accurately predict RDC staffing requirements.
John has the strong belief that "the devil is in the detail", but first you must have a clear goal, and strategies to map the journey!
Outside work John spends as much time as he can afford in Ireland ; bringing his "hovel" back to a comfortable pied a terre.
